Infrastructure DX HVAC Unit15 viewsAn APC 20-Ton HVAC unit. We have 3 of these, providing 40 tons of constant air in the data center. the 3rd unit is in standby to kick in should a fault appear with either of the primary units.
These units run on the buildings chilled water supply, but in the event of an outage, they use their own independant DX compressors outside the building to make their own cold air. These condensors are on the generator as well

Rear view of the SAN16 viewsOur main Department SAN (Storage Area Network) from behind during the move. This is a mirrored set of EMC CX700 units, with fiber everywhere.. not a happy site for a Data Center director, but it had to be done this way, to keep the users working until we can finsih the move.

Jukebox10 viewsThis is an HP Storageworks 2200MX Optical Library. It stores 288 9.4GB Optical platters internally, with 10 Opital readers and a robotic arm. This library holds all data on every teacher in the State of Florida since the late 1800's. All certifications and transcripts for all teachers are scanned and then saved as a one time write to these non-magnetic optical platters.

|

New Servers10 viewsNow THIS is how a rack of servers is supposed to look. The bottom right is an EMC CX700 SAN with 3 DAE's and the fabric switches mounted over them, with a Dell PV136T LTO-3 Tape Library. The left side are Dell 7250 4 CPU Itanium2 Servers and Dell 2850 Servers

Cable Management13 viewsAll wires neatly organized, so when the server slides forward for service, no cables get unplugged, also makes for a neat and workmanlike workarea.
